In kadai, add 1 tsp oil and fry roughly chopped onions till translucent. Don't turn them brown. Add chilli, poppy seeds and cashew / almonds and cook them. Once cooled, grind to smooth paste.
In same kadai add 1 tsp oil and 1 tsp butter. Add jeera, bay leaf, grinded paste and 1 cup milk and let it cook till oil is released
Once the mixture is cooked, add garam masala, chopped methi green peas and sugar. Let methi cook for a while
Add salt, sugar and malai to the gravy and cook for 3 mins
Serve with hot rotis, naan
